Software fails when it's built from an outsider's guess at the process. Expect several working sessions during discovery and regular reviews as modules are delivered.

We scope and price the change, and you choose: accept the new price, continue without the feature, or stop the project there. Nothing gets quietly added and billed later, and nothing gets quietly dropped. Changes are agreed in writing the same way the original scope was.

Yes. Handover includes a full walkthrough of the system with the people who'll use it, plus written documentation. Training is included, not a separate charge. If your team can't use it without us, the project hasn't finished.

Every project includes 45 days of fixes at no cost. After that, ongoing support and further development are arranged separately, priced to your needs rather than a fixed package. There's no obligation — the system is yours and another developer can maintain it.

Every project is scoped in a free discovery session and quoted at a fixed price, in writing, before any work begins. Fixed means fixed — the price doesn't move unless you ask for something outside the agreed scope, and then it's re-quoted and re-agreed before we build it.

Around ₹4–5 lakh. Below that, the discovery and handover work costs more than the build is worth to you, and a ready-made product is usually the better answer. We'll say so if that's the case rather than take the work.

No. Fixed price only, scoped upfront. Hourly billing puts our interests against yours — we'd earn more by taking longer. Fixed price means the risk of a build running long sits with us, which is where it belongs.

Three stages: 30% to start, 40% at the mid-build review, and 30% on handover. You see working software before the middle payment and before the final one. You're never paying far ahead of what's been delivered.

Hosting for a business system of this kind typically runs ₹5,000–15,000 per month, depending on data volume, user count, and whether it runs on your own server or a cloud provider. The exact figure is worked out during discovery and stated in the quote. We don't mark it up.

Yes, where it's needed. We also don't publish client systems — the case study on this site shows schematics rather than screenshots, because the platform belongs to the client. The same applies to anything we build for you.

Web applications, built to work properly on phones and tablets through the browser. That covers the way most operations teams actually work — a supervisor checking something on a phone, an ops desk on a laptop. Native mobile apps aren't currently part of what Solvern builds.

On your own server if you have one, otherwise with a cloud provider. Where the data is hosted, and in which country, is your decision — we'll explain the trade-offs in cost, speed and control during discovery. Many Indian businesses prefer data hosted within India, and that's straightforward.

Whatever your operation already touches. We've connected payment records directly to Tally so the accounts team stops entering data twice. Other common ones for asset-heavy businesses include payment gateways, SMS and WhatsApp notifications, GPS and telematics, and e-signature tools. Integrations are scoped during discovery.

You do. Code, database and documentation are handed over at the end of the project. There's no licence fee, no lock-in, and no dependency on Solvern to keep it running. The system is built so another developer can take it over.

Often normal software is the better answer. It has no per-use cost, it's predictable, and it doesn't need checking. AI is worth using where the work involves reading unstructured documents, drafting text, or handling variation that rules can't cover. We'll tell you which applies to your case.

It depends entirely on volume and what the automation does. A step running a few hundred times a month costs very little; one running constantly across large documents costs considerably more. We work out the actual figure at your volume during discovery and give it to you in writing before you commit.

Worth it: steps that happen often, follow a pattern, and currently eat real hours — document handling, data entry between systems, routine follow-ups. Not worth it: anything infrequent, anything where a mistake is expensive and still needs full human checking, and anything where plain software solves it with no ongoing cost.

That's your decision, not ours, and we won't pretend to know your business well enough to advise on it. What we can tell you is exactly what a step costs to run automated versus what it costs today, in writing. Most clients redirect people rather than remove them.

The contract protects you, and so does the structure. Code sits in your repository from the start, not ours. Payments are staged so you're never far ahead of delivered work. Documentation is written as we go, so another developer can take over. You're not dependent on us continuing.

We'll say so. If a ready-made product does the job, if the project is too small to justify a custom build, or if the automation you want costs more to run than it saves — we'll tell you during discovery rather than take the work. Discovery is free either way.
